Characteristics and comment: Siberian iris is a specie that grows better in wet soil but not completely submerged. Better use for pond border or soil that is watered often. Grown in Siberia, in monastry, this specie was distributed in Europe where hybridiser create new varieties.
They can grow up to 80 cm. height, but mostly are small variety irises.
Best time to plant iris is summer/autumn, after flowering time, so plant can develop during the winter and make flowers in spring. Planting iris in spring can affect flowering, if planted in spring they will probably not make flowers for the first year.
