What immediately distinguishes it are its delicate pink-purple flowers, whose star-like shape, created by the pointed petals, gives it an ethereal and refined appearance. But "Choolarp" is not limited to the beauty of its flowers: its leaves are equally remarkable, with serrated and irregular edges that clearly differentiate it from most other water lilies. This serration, sometimes accentuated by darker mottling on the leaves, adds a further decorative element, making the plant interesting even when it is not in bloom. The medium to large-sized flowers rise elegantly above the water's surface, emitting a delicate fragrance that helps create a relaxing atmosphere in the pond. As a tropical water lily, "Choolarp" prefers sunny locations, with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day, and water temperatures between 68-86°F (20-30°C). Its abundant and prolonged flowering extends from spring to autumn, depending on the climate. Like all tropicals, it is not frost-hardy and needs to be protected during the winter.
