Origins and Hybridisation
The Overjoyed waterlily was hybridised by Yasuhiro Satou, a renowned Japanese hybridiser. This variety is the result of years of selection and crossing to obtain a waterlily with unique and desirable characteristics: the star shape of the flowers and a size suited to medium-sized ponds.
